Kiyomi Emi is thrilled and honored to be newly appointed board member and an ensemble member of Cold Tofu. Having known about this organization since its inception, she finally fulfilled a life-long dream of taking all three class levels in 2025.

She is currently working with the Playwrights’ Arena, Pacific Jazz Orchestra and CASA of Los Angeles as their marketing consultant. She has previously worked at Center Theatre Group (Ahmanson Theatre, Mark Taper Forum, Kirk Douglas Theatre) as the Sr. Marketing Manager and Event Producer. In addition to working at the Center Theatre Group, she has also worked at the Los Angeles Opera and the Los Angeles Philharmonic in their marketing departments, as well as many other arts organizations as a publicist, event producer, and marketing consultant in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

These organizations include East West Players, Chinese American Museum, Long Beach Opera, Ojai Playwrights Conference, Disney Theatrical, Serino Coyne, Carol Shorenstein Hays Productions, Asian American Theatre Company, Eclectic Theatre Company, Culture Clash, Amy Hill, and Lane Nishikawa. She has also been a field correspondent for indieexpress.com, a website that highlighted independent films and film festival; and reported for AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards Ceremony honoring Michael Douglas.

In addition to being a Cold Tofu board member, she also sits on the boards for East West Players, Cold Tofu, Hugs for Sherilyn and advisory board member for Playwrights’ Arena.
